As the nights draw in and the air turns crisp, November in London bursts into life with the magic of Bonfire Night, dazzling light displays, and cosy autumn gatherings. But magic should be for everyone! This month, we're shining a spotlight on accessible and inclusive events happening across the capital, proving that fantastic celebrations can happen, but that doesn't mean compromising on access. From relaxed viewings of spectacular fireworks to sensory-friendly events and venues designed with every visitor in mind, get ready to discover the best of what London has to offer. 1) Young V&A
Bethnal Green, London
2nd November
Young V&A hosts activities for children and young people to spark their imagination and creativity. The Making Egypt exhibition is running until the 2nd November. The building has step-free access with lifts. The nearest accessible station is Whitechapel.
Wheelchairs
You can borrow a wheelchair during your visit, but it’s recommended to book it 24 hours in advance.
Disabled toilets
Toilets are located on the lower ground floor. They also have a bigger Changing Places toilet. If you don’t have your Radar key you ask a member of staff to borrow one.

2) Fireworks display
Battersea Park, London
2nd & 3rd November

Tickets
Disabled visitors need to purchase a general admission ticket in order to get a free companion ticket. You will need to provide proof of disability and your booking reference before you get your tickets.
Accessible Viewing Platform
Disabled visitors need to book an accessible space in advance, and priority will be given to wheelchair users and those less able to stand.
Disabled toilets
Two accessible toilets are available close to the viewing platform and there are others, which are available in the main toilet blocks.
Blue badge parking
They have a limited number of disabled bays and are available on a first-come, first serve basis.

3) Luxury Travel Fair
Olympia London
6th – 9th November
Thursday – Saturday 10am – 5pm & Sunday 10am – 4.30pm
If you love to travel and are looking for a getaway destination, the Luxury Travel fair is an event for you. The show is dedicated to travellers looking for high-end and bespoke experiences. Lifts and ramps are available at all the main entrances. Lifts provide access to all levels. There is clear signage to help disabled visitors navigate the venue.

Blue badge parking bays are offered on a first come first serve basis, and is best to pre- book even though the space is not guaranteed, but it will ensure that you have a space. All disabled parking is charged and it’s best to contact the venue to find out.
Manual wheelchairs
If you need to use a wheelchair while at the venue they offer wheelchairs to loan. It’s best to book your request in advance of your visit by completing the contact form on their website, Contact us | Olympia Events. You will need to give a deposit, which will be refunded.

4) Ability Net’s Tech Share Pro

This is Europe’s largest annual conference focusing on technology, digital accessibility, and inclusion. This is a must-attend for anyone interested in the future of inclusive design and tech innovation. Tickets are available to attend virtually. 5) The Barbican, London
Wendy and Peter Pan
15th November (Relaxed performance)

Accessibility

6) The Science Museum, London
Night Owls
29th November - 6.30pm - 9.30pm

- Lifts - The venue has lifts with the majority being wheelchair accessible and audio announcements and braille labelling on the buttons.
- Accessible toilets – They are available on all levels of the venue
- Mobility equipment – Manual wheelchairs and folding stools are available on the day and can be pre-booked.
