1st March 2026

As we move into March 2026, the spirit of community and connection is at the heart of everything we do at Access My Events. This month holds a special significance as we witness the beautiful transition from a period of deep reflection to one of joyful celebration. We are looking forward to marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan with the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, expected on or around the 18th or 19th of March.

As the crescent moon signals the start of the festivities, around that time, we celebrate the values of inclusivity, charity, and togetherness that define this holy month. Whether you are hosting a community gathering or attending a local celebration, we are here to ensure that these experiences are accessible and welcoming to everyone.

🌙 Making Your Eid Celebrations Inclusive🌙

The end of Ramadan is a time for fun and being together with friends and family, but for a gathering to be welcoming to the community, it must be accessible to everyone. If you are planning to host an accessible Eid celebration, we have listed our top tips to make it inclusive for all.

  • Venue Navigation: If you are hosting at a community hall or home, ensure walkways are clear of rugs or clutter that could be a trip hazard or an obstacle for wheelchair users.
  • Sensory-Friendly Spaces: Eid gatherings can get loud and lively. Designate a quiet room or a low-sensory corner where guests (especially neurodivergent children or adults) can take a break from the noise.
  • Dietary Needs: Clearly label traditional dishes. Other than just Halal, make sure to mark items that are gluten-free, nut-free, or sugar-free for guests managing allergies or diabetes.
  • Seating Options: Ensure there is a mix of standard seating and space for mobility aids so guests can choose what is most comfortable for them during prayers or when eating.

We would like to wish everyone who will be celebrating Eid a very blessed Eid Mubarak!
